Yellow warning of wind has just been issued by the Met O for central and southern parts with gusts of up to 60mph for coastal areas.
Wind has started picking up here in the past 5 minutes
Just started raining here, chilly too with stiff easterly wind.
Very squally now, heavy rain blowing along in near gale force southerly wind.
Light rain again as the squal past through
One more wedgefull then it looks dryer out West although I see showers over Ireland coming our way later
Still hardly any wind although again a bit more movement with the trees
A small branch snapped off from Silver Birch at front of house, unusual for August. Its gusty out there.
Bit of rain, hardly any wind, sun out. Total non-event here, so far.
We've had 2.8mm but it has practically stopped and is brighter - almost calm.It seems to be moving to NE very quickly, seems unlikely to produce large totals now, although it might just hook back later.
nothing special here just a normal rainy day bit breezey, had few rumbles of thunder,
Only a few downpours. More breeze at present.
Oh pi55 off you boring southerly gale, you wasn't even wanted in the winter . . . but in the summer?
Almost continuous rumbles of thunder here in Banbury.. Far bit of rain has passed through as well

Thunder heard not long ago either.
Sun's coming out here now, with the wind slowly veering towards the south west, thus becoming more sheltered by it.
Thunderstorm just moving through Basingstoke at the moment. Clouds whizzing past so it didn't last long. A few booming peels of thunderQuite warm though before the storm arrived. Temperature reached 21.8C
