Currently snowing here in the east of Norwich!!

Location: Yaxley, Suffolk

Awwww, my old stomping ground. But, yes, that area always does very well with snowfall when it comes to elevation in a marginal set up. Many time have I left a wet and damp Folkestone harbour first thing in the morning and be greeted with 4 inches snow cover upon arriving at work 20 minutes later.

Looking back, going back to riding a motorbike towards the end of my tenure in that place wasn't really one of my better ideas.

I'm not sure you deserve any given your generally negative observations...

Anyhow, first snow I have seen since March 2013, which has to be a plus.

How is it in your neck of the woods in Warwickshire? Seen a flake yet?

Pennines look very white to my east, looks fantastic with the sun shining on them - like a view from Milan when you look North at the Alps all white.

Talking of which, here are some snowy photos of Kent from KentOnline:

Looks good Darren.
Some of those locations are near or at sea level but unfortunately it doesn't meet the 'widespread' criteria - yet!
Nice to see nevertheless

Not a snow report but I'm guessing this is the most appropriate thread to discuss tonight's fun and games?!

Can't make up my mind RE the current radar. To my untrained eye it seems as though the smaller band moving NE across the W. Midlands is ushering in the warm sector (so I don't really want it to come up this far!) while the general mass in the Irish Sea is going to eventually grind to a halt and sink south? Also a lot of the lighter echoes aren't really producing anything - had several occasions already with light yellows over my area and nowt (not that I'm obsessing or anything).

Light snow here but enough to start to settle without any effort.

Had a snow shower in Wolverhampton.  Quickly began to settle as intensity grew which bodes well for later.  Fingers crossed that for once we get lucky here in the West Midlands and we remain the right side of borderline and precipitation passes overhead not relatively close in one direction or another.

Just seen the BBC forecast and it doesn't really look all that good IMBY. The action is just a little bit too far south and it never properly gets going, light snow/flurries perhaps?
Possibly better for the Wirrallites we have on here, assuming it's cold enough at their lower elevation of course.

Ppn type radar shows it turning to rain from the SW as per E4.
