Some great TV football today. But not as great as tomorrow's going to be when Chelsea's relegation zombies meet the next Champions.

I missed the first 10 minutes but saw the rest of the match and genuinely I was asking you what you think you saw that was worthy of sending off.

But by all means revert to football fan mode if you must, insults and all.

Aw bless. This thread was started on Red Cafe back in October.

Delusion or sense of entitlement on the part of Manure fans.

With the benefit of hindsight, it's probably both.

As a Chelsea fan I can't stand Costa  fed up with all he does that drags the club down. If I'd had my way Jose would have gone after we lost to Palace at home. It was clear then that he'd lost the dressing room and we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now. He was making us a laughing stock with all his antics. A fair proportion of the squad aren't fit to wear the shirt and at least 6 of them are the reason why we are where we are due to their own issues with the former boss. People will probably bang on about how short my memory is given what Jose did for us, however, even whilst winning I wasn't keen due to the style of play adopted. I accepted it because we won. But back to today's game, much needed 3 points. A correct sending off if he'd been touched although somehow I doubt he was. Cesc should have had a Pen and with ten men Arsenal were the better side for the final 20 mins. As I said on FB, Remy shouldn't be allowed on the bench. Why we didn't splash on the big Chelsea fan Austin for a snip at £4M, proven at this level is beyond me. He'd have more fight and desire as would one of the youngsters or even the tea lady compared to that useless prat.

Still only a few more points to get to the magic 40 and probable safety

I lost faith In Mourinho over the fiasco over the club doctor.  He mishandled that so badly but looking back it was an early sign that things weren't going well.

Costa was fantastic last season but lost his way and self-control this season.  Remy looks like what he is, a striker out of form with almost no match time.

In the case of the incident with Eva Caniero, if JM had a genuine grievance with what she and her assistant did in the opening game of the PL, he should have spoken to both of them behind closed doors after the game and cleared the air between them that way. I wasn't at all surprised when I heard that Dr Caniero had quit her job not long afterwards, nor am I surprised by the legal action she has since launched against Chelsea and JM himself.

I was horrified at the way Eva Caniero was treated, both at the time of the incident and subsequently.  All he had to do was apologise and that may well have dealt with the matter.  Whoever was advising Chelsea on HR issues must have had their hands full!  It was a constructive dismissal claim just waiting to happen, that much was blindingly obvious.

Just watched MOTD and there was unanimous agreement that (a) it was a red card and (b) that the Fabregas incident was a penalty.

Not sure what Wenger was upset about.

I did see one incident involving Costa, with a late/mistimed tackle but it looked like a yellow card at the most - if that's the one to whicb you were referring.

Wasn't Maureen's beef that she was making the beast with two backs with Ivanovich?

That Maureen blew something trivial out of all proportion was perhaps his plan to get rid of her & send a message to the players. Then it blew up in his face rather spectacularly (and amusingly) was obviously not part of the plan.

This is how low Manure have sunk under Woodward/Van Gaal.

Jan 23

0 - None of the other 91 PL/FL clubs have had fewer shots on target at home than Man Utd (35) in the league this season. Stark.

I think the translation is something along the lines of Doc (not the one from Aberdeen )banging player  (BI)  and JM wanted rid? I did here something similar but couldn't  be sure.

Not sure why you have mentioned what MOTD thought , as I said it was a red card and Cesc should have had a penalty.

Ramires reported to be on his way to some Chinese club for £25m

Hmmm....

Two things.

Firstly, this smacks of FFP-avoidance (as in, the selling club part-funding a transfer behind-the-scenes to help a FFP deficit). Remember David Luis?

Secondly, Chelsea are desperate to nab Teixera to stop Liverpool signing him, so expect all that cash to be diverted to a big bid for Teixera.

He just wants out of Shakhtar.

If we sign him & he does well, he'll probably tweet his lifelong ambition to play for Real Madrid or Barca.

Done deal. Townsend to Newcastle for £12m.

That's £2.40m for every PL goal he has ever scored.
