A cracking morning where it was 27C by around 10am. Not a cloud in the sky. It got a bit hazy this evening for a time before the cloud cleared but it was still 32C IMBY. I think that matches the 1st July last year, or maybe a degree above, so not bad 2 years on the trot! A lovely evening, humid, warm, everyone enjoying there gardens. I wish we had more like this, it was still showing 28C at 10pm.
Think we are gonna struggle to stay above 24C until 9am though.
Crosby @ 28 C at midnight 'Down' to 24.4 C here atm. - I don't keep temp. records but I reckon this is the warmest I've ever seen at this time of night!
Don't think I'm going to make any serious attempt to sleep tonight. Have severe eczema that will just get so much worse if I overheat.
Stormchaser, do you think there is any chance of us beating the record?
24C here in Birmingham. This is also a frost hollow during winter so even more impressive. Really feels great outside with a little breeze to go along with it.
As expected, the minimum was below 20C.... thank goodness!
Overnight minima of exactly 20.0c.
After 11 years, this barrier has finally been broken. Record smashed!.
Currently 21.2.

Looks like Benson didn't get below 23.7c overnight, though I can't see the 6am data for there yet...
EDIT: 23c for Benson at 06.30.
Warmest night I have ever recorded. First minimum above 20C. Bottomed out at 20.3C.
Overnight min 21.2cWarmest night on record (from 2003)
Warmest night ever recorded (since 1997 at least). Overnight low of 22.9c at 04.47hrs. There is no question that this is faulty as the station is situated down the garden 80 feet away from the house. Truly remarkable.
Meanwhile, London already recording 25c at 0730 this morning!

A low of 17.6c here which is what was expected. Already 24c now.
Last night was cooler then the night before down here, but the cooler temperatures didn't occur until after 8am so does this count??
