In the care sector, there are 1000’s of unfilled vacancies...the margins for care homes are so tight...private founders are subsidising the  social services customers  for want of a better expression. Would they be able to increase salary levels without significant help from central Govt? Answer is ‘no’ ..so we still end up lots of absolutely essential workers on low wages....when this is all over, let’s hope common sense prevails!

According to the Telegraph the below is the total number we have tested to date - 78,340 up to yesterday is a small amount , lucky to get 5,000 tests a day

Don't know what will happen if food shops are closed. I know lockdowns are necessary to help stop the virus spread, but some people of course could starve. Those who have panic buy will now say their actions are justified.

I never went out to panic buy because I did not want to be part of the problem (including risking that I could pass on the virus), and feel that other people should have the essentials.
