I wonder what Hadley is now. Doesn't surprise me. I had a single figures minimum last night.
The last July CET under 14C was in the 1960s.    🙂

Thought it was interesting at the start of each decade (ie years ending in 0). 1990 broke the spell.

I know this is insane, but is it possible we could have a July colder than June and a June colder than may?
ALso has this ever happened before?

There was another hot spell towards the end of the month that gave August the 18C CET. Sadly I was working except for Thursday 2nd when I went river swimming on my day off. On the Saturday I sat under a rowan tree in my half hour lunch break, feeling the hot wind.

Very annoyed now about that 30.0C we had last month.
If we are on track for a July without 30C (and we might be) it could have been really cool to see a year where 30C was not seen until August.

18/12 (-1), 06/03 (-6), 08/03 (-8), 09/03 (-6), 10/03 (-8), 11/03 (-5), 14/03 (-6)

HST, I would not be surprised if we see 30 C or above this September or even early October. I expect there'll be a heatwave this September, as has happened last year, late 2011 and in 1985, all followed on from rubbish summers.

I expect August will continue to be mostly unsettled and wet, but could be an odd shortlived Spanish Plume heat wave event. I don't think it will make it above 30 C, though.
