It's true that Tally has compared Fahrenheit with Celsius, however the greatest anomalies are projected to be in the 25 to 35 Fahrenheit range so that will be 14-19c above normal. This includes many of the big cities on the eastern seaboard. Incredible!

That is one heck of a snow plunge!
So erratic so see snow that far south and almost 1/2 of Texas under snow. It's even colder in Houston than it is here- So I guess if you want winter go to a state near the Gulf of Mexico haha: http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/weather/article/Texas-Hill-Country-could-see-sleet-or-snow-Sunday-6722760.php
I really envy the Yanks and their weather. So much more interesting than our climate, but of course much more dangerous as well.

Just looking over the other side to see any updates on this first nor-easter. Don't know about you but are the BBC graphics playing up? Because this snowstorm stay's well clear of New England including NY.
NYC, Boston etc were expected to receive 1-2ft of snow throughout Saturday morning, throughout the day and night then into SUnday and now it looks set to miss NYC altogether!?
Saturday night:
I remember last year in Feb or March NYC was forecasted to receive up to 2ft of snow and they only had a dusting or flurries at the most!
Says it all. Up to 2' where I used to live.
NWS seems to have upgraded the expected storm totals - Baltimore now forecast to get between 20 and 30".
The weather app forecasts for Washington DC for this weekend (MetO one especially) brings an actual tear to my eye.
Weather porn.
What I would do to experience a weather event like that!
