For the last two nights there have been massive stereophonic concerts indoors. If you’ve been to a gig you’ll know how hot sweaty and drunk you can get.

That’s thousands of young(ish) people either catching and or spreading, then mingling with family today tomorrow.

This is all beyond reckless now.

If we do not see Boris tomorrow address the nation after what has been a frankly worrying and disturbing weekend it’s a disgrace.

Exactly have spoken to many primary teachers the problem will also be one of child sitting classrooms rather than a decent learning environment as teachers can’t be covered because of sickness

I was wondering that earlier.

I don't think that is true. The stats I've seen suggest a death rate of 0.2% for teenagers.

But they haven’t stopped it, they have slowed the spread. They have 159 cases per 1m pop, the UK currently has 21.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion today that those in the 20-40 range are getting ill and in some cases requiring ICU.

However, the biggest issue is they are acting as vectors for the virus to spread to the more vulnerable groups.

Just look at this graph for S.Korea (which has the highest number of tests in the world). Can you see them reaching 'herd immunity' any time soon? Have they closed their borders? Have they done any lockdowns?

The answer to all those questions is no. They have put this under control and they provide a shining example to the whole world.

"Recoveries" can mean anything in the dataset really. It can mean anyone who tested positive but remained asymptomatic and has now cleared the virus from their system, or it can mean someone who spent three weeks in the ICU on a ventilator and has now recovered.

I also can't help feeling increasingly angry at the backwards freaks who, by scoffing wild animals, have caused this. Those gobshites would eat a turd if it grew legs and some pillock 6 centuries ago said it cured headaches and a floppy dick.

Europe has failed in that respect and we are seeing the repercussions. I worry for the UK especially given we're hardly testing. We'll soon be at, or close to, Italy's level.
