Public health England have announced 823 new deaths down from 866 yesterday

The 823 patients who died in England were aged between 11 and 102 years old

33 aged between 29 and 94 years old had no known underlying health conditions

That's more than I thought

Some decidedly worrying stats from the comprehensive weekly Scottish figures. Compared to the the five year average there was 643 excess deaths in the 7 days up to Wednesday but only 282 were due to tested or suspected Covid-19.

Wales have reported 339 new cases and 36 new deaths

Hancock needs to get on the airways immediately to apologise for his crass insensitive comments...the anger out there seems palpable ..Any Answers on R4 just now..several callers talking in tears about family members working in the community dealing with patients leaving hospital but having no, repeat no PPE.

Also, this may have already been asked..Apols if it has...I dip in and out of these threads....where the hell is Priti Patel? As a holder of one of the key offices of state, surely she should have a higher profile...unless of course she is ill..in which case, that is entirely understandable.

This, coupled with reports from England, Scotland and NI must be considered terrifying given that most of us would expect that to be on the low side given reporting over this Easter weekend period will most probably be underestimated.

Spain doing very well but we don't know about care home deaths which is why the French numbers look worse

But all of their lockdowns were proper lockdowns

Re: admin, just hope that with most people being locked down in their spare time that more people may have chosen to go to work and it may be being treated like a normal Friday. Guess we'll see what the next days bring.

• 115 on April 10th (yesterday) down from 117 the day before and 140 the day before that.


• 695 between April 1st and April 9th


• 12 deaths occurred in March

Another poor performance from the JFF model.

Projected: 4259 confirmed cases

Actual: 5234 confirmed cases

Its quite worrying we are seeing this, I really hope this is just two bad days and we will see a large drop tommorow. If the model is wrong then it would imply that we are no longer seeing an approximately linear decline in R0. In other words the lockdown is not effective enough to bring R0 down to 1. 

The consequences of this are very concerning.
