Think Chelsea are now out of the equation likewise man City. Two teams are now in the premeirship race and i am sure there will be a few twists and turns before the crowning in May. Man U have to play Chelsea twice so the blues could have a big say where the title ends. Likewise the teams who are scrapping for every point to keep their prem status.

FA cup and Champs league could also play a part in where the Prem title ends up.  I am sure both managers will be wanting their opposites to progress in the Champs league as the fixtures pile up, if Arsenal were to dispose of the Barca it certainly would open up the Champs league.

Van Persie is very much a player Arsenal need to keep fit along with their skipper Cesc both very influential and top top drawer. Man U will look to Vidic who has been a solid performer along with all their strikers to get the goals required, unfortunatley Man Us midfield has been very poor this season and needs to be sorted, very risky when having to play a team like Chelsea twice during the run in.

IMO Man U are slight faves as they have their noses just in front and have the bottle, the temprament and SAF to guide them. Would i put money on it..? Not a chance and if another team were to win the prem then Arsenal would be well worthy.

Bad taste and bloody stupid for sure; but do we really need the legal system to be clogged up by cases like this? Why not a simple fine.

Tom Hicks told he can't sue Liverpool/RBS/Martin Broughton/NESV/the club mascot in the US, further to his claims that he was ripped off when the sale of the club was forced through.

Excellent!

Meanwhile, Liverpool set to give a debut to a 16 year old forward called Raheem Sterling who is in his final year at school and currently on half term holidays.

[PS - his school's in St Helens ]

Sterling's not made the 18, but another Liverpool youngster, Conor Coady (17) is on the bench.

Coady, who captained England U-17's to European Championship victory last summer, went to my old school

With two important Champions League games under the belt last week, Tottenham and Arsenal turn their minds towards securing qualification for next year's elite competition with League games against Blackpool and Stoke respectively.  First up are Tottenham at a refreshing Blackpool who, hopefully, will continue to play attack minded football which should make for an entertaining game.  Arsenal then face a resolute Stoke side who will look to frustrate Arsenal's attacking game.

Whilst Arsenal will harbour hopes of a Premiership Trophy, wins for both will help towards securing a much deserved place in Europe's elite for two free flowing and entertaining footballing teams next season.

Patrice Evra has signed a contract extension. Great business for Man U as Patrice is a fantastic left back, glad to see he has signed a new contract as Real Madrid had been sniffing about.

Not difficult really as Cashley is about as much a man as Brogdale is a Tory

With Chelsea now out of the FA Cup and also barring a miracle out of the Prem race, the only hope of silverware is the Champions league... a very poor season by Chelsea's standards. I put it to the forum that the current Chelsea team will be broken up over the summer with many players  (and possible manger etc) departing. Why have they been so poor after a great start...? Was the sacking of gentleman Ray Wilkins a factor in their slide..? For me there is definitley something going on behind the scenes...

Quite how the scoreline is 2-0 (apart from the obvious) is totally beyond me. Blackpool have been battered (and not a seaside pun either) by Spurs and for much of the game have been hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

Having had two shots cleared off the line (so far) I have a feeling it's going to be one of those nights.

EDIT: After 54 mins - goal attempts: Blackpool 6, Tottenham 14. It's like watching a giant pinball machine being tilted.
