This situation is going to go on for 18 months - 2 years until we get a vaccine.   The first wave will peak but it won't fully go away and then a second and probably third peak will happen. Home schooling for the foreseeable is the only way.

We can’t stop it from spreading now, we would have needed to completely lockdown and close borders 2 weeks ago. We can try and slow the spread by social distancing but we can’t stop it.

 School children have mild symptoms if any, but closing schools would be incredibly disruptive. Likewise, I see no point in closing pubs or restaurants, provided strict hygiene measures are in force and any staff with symptoms self isolate.

For the last two nights there have been massive stereophonic concerts indoors. If you’ve been to a gig you’ll know how hot sweaty and drunk you can get.

That’s thousands of young(ish) people either catching and or spreading, then mingling with family today tomorrow.

This is all beyond reckless now.


If we do not see Boris tomorrow address the nation after what has been a frankly worrying and disturbing weekend it’s a disgrace.

so who is going to home school kids for months on end if both parents work? By the way I don’t have this issue as I don’t work so if my kids are home for months on end then so be it. I just don’t see how we can close schools for such a long time when you have kids doing gcse and a levels.
