Is it possible Boris is on ECMO? This is not ventilation, its actually even more serious than ventilation. I somehow doubt it but I suppose its possible.

Yes agree David. They keeping asking the same question on the 5pm update Q&A about when restrictions may end. They keep pushing for a date, but will then hold that person to account if they do say something. I laugh when they reply and don't give them the answer they want and think "you'll just have to wait children". Seriously though the press are vultures. When that guy used the words "green shoots" a while back I thought oh no. Peston was onto it like a flash.

It won't end this month.

I do so hope he recovers quickly. I can't bear Dominic Raab.  He said I think the PM will pull through. Followed by the thing I hate more than anything when somebody is ill - if there's one thing I know about Boris Johnson - he's a fighter. Like all the other thousands who died didn't bother? It's a meaningless phrase and cliche that people trot out and it makes no difference whether you are or not to your immune system.

I'm in agreement with you here.

My opinion is that the "irresponsible" dog owners have to walk their dogs now instead of driving them to a grassy area to let them tulip. The responsible dog owners who were and are walking their dogs are picking up the litter.

One advantage of this is that there is less dog tulipin the grassy areas.

If Raab said it, I instantly think it is a lie.

We were there in January/February on a cruise around the Far East.  We docked in Sihanoukville.  The beach was lovely but the roads were red dust and still being developed. Yes mega casinos and skyscrapers, many more being built, all by the Chinese.  The locals are not happy!

My information is that Boris is on non-invasive breathing support and that Downing St is not telling the whole truth. But I will be howled down for spreading misinformation. I have no idea whether he will recover - I sincerely hope he does.

Without knowing any of the details I would seriously doubt it. I may not sure ECMO would be appropriate given reports on his condition.

Om a differentiations note, and putting aside political differences, I continue to be very impressed with Nicola Sturgeon’s tone and approach to the current situation.

Interesting but the results of the study are disputed by the U.K. experts.

"The newly released data is disputed by scientists whose modelling of the likely shape of the UK epidemic is relied on by the government. Prof Neil Ferguson, of Imperial College, said the IHME figures on “healthcare demand” – including hospital bed use and deaths – were twice as high as they should be."

You could probably do a crude estimation simply by doing (population^2)/Area of country

i.e How density populated the country is multipled by the number of people in it.

I'm sure the UK would rank #1 in Europe on that list.
