I think I can see you've tied a mild-ramper tied to the track, in the middle distance.

I think they are saying the train is never going to get here...

GFS has delivered THE run of the decade with a nationwide major snow event Thurs/Fri. The output today has triggered a snow shovel alert and I’ll be grabbing a new one in the morning whilst stocks last!

Oh my goodness this run goes absolutely insane by T180... just utter snow madness.

Blizzard like conditions for much of England and Wales next Friday if the 18z is correct.

Amber alert, amber alert... the whole country has gone amber. Apart from the bits that are red.

And whilst I know the main interest is the UK, the frankly bonkers snow cover and albedo just to our South will have an effect:

Midday Friday, gosh this snow could last for a day: 'English channel effect snow'

No chart available for the selected hour. Many charts start at 3 hours ahead, so if you have 0 hours selected try stepping forward or selecting a later hour.

Plenty cold enough for fresh powder to add to existing snow.  - Could all change! But looking good.

One wonders what the snowfall totals will be from the LP that first shows its hand at T+162 and is still going at T+220.

Mind boggling.

Jesus. That's without taking convection fully into account! We're talking a metre of snow around these parts!

Upgrade after upgrade and extensive snowfall for the U.K.

Jacko will be crying into his hot water bottle about this.

National beeb forecast ramping it up right now.
New York hit 26c yesterday I wonder if this is to do with the SSW ?

The 18z run is completely insane - amount of snow just crazy. I am beginning to wonder whether I should go to Denmark next week, since it would leave my wife on her own during a very difficult period for rural life and I probably would not be able to get home at the end of the week.
New world order coming.

Pub run does the Pub run. Will they be thinking about taking the coveralls off the furniture in the Cabinet Office Briefing Room 'A' sometime soon?
