I think he should be removed. Clearly there are issues behind the scenes and when you slag off your players in public its never a good sign. It all began on the first day with his absurd attack on the Lady Doctor.

They need a fresh start and an easy win over Sunderland should be a good way for the new manager to settle in, though it will be an interim manager until the end of the season. Its happened  before. Di Matteo did a good job and won the Champions league

Oh, this could be the gift that keeps giving.

If the Russian crook pulls the plug on Mourinho it's being widely reported that Juande Ramos could be brought in.

Can't say I'm surprised if I'm being honest. His team have had a nightmare of a season so far and it would appear he'd lost the dressing room.

Once Wenger shuffles off from Arsenal, one wonders if we'll ever see a long-term manager in the PL again.

Crazy how badly this season has gone for them

I could be wrong here, but isn't this the first time Mourinho's officially had the sack?

When he left Stamford Bridge after his first spell, it was said that he "left by mutual consent", which I always thought was effectively a sacking.

No matter how much success he's had as a manager, Mourinho's stock will have been damaged somewhat by this. I can't help but feel that incident with the doctor on the first day of the season destablised the team and probably the club, and they have never recovered.

After he goes I think it's very unlikely that a manager at any given club will last even half as long as he's been at Arsenal for and SAF at Man Utd, to give you two examples from the modern era of football.

I would say anything of 5 years and over is long-term in EPL, but that may be revised downward...
